The Foldable Huawei Mate Xs is coming with Kirin 990 5G in March 2020

Huawei today officially launched its foldable smartphone, the Mate Xs at an event in Shenzhen. Earlier Huawei Shenzhen was bringing Mate 30 5G and Mate 30 Pro 5G for the Chinese market during an observation. Huawei announced that the company will launch Mate X in March 2021.

If you want the Kirin 990 version of the Mate X, you’ll have to wait a bit longer because Huawei will launch the Mate X in March 2020.

Sadly, Huawei did not specify the launch date and did not disclose the price of the phone. By design, the Mate Xs look like this with a regular Mate X.

While inside, Huawei will use the newer and more powerful Kirin 990 5G chipset. Kirin 990 5G built-in 7nm + EUV process and will bring integrated 5G modem unlike the original Mate X and it’s externally used on Kirin 980.

It provides a more powerful NPU in addition to the overclocked Cortex-A and A76 and A55 cores. Although the Mali-G76 GPU is similar to the Kirin 980, there are now six more cores, resulting in a total of 16 cores.

We also think that Huawei will push the release of the Mate Xs by March 2020.

We have no information about official Mate Xs other than the chipset, so we will have to wait until the next day to find out more details.
